What is a stronghold? Well, a stronghold is a place of safety, fortified to protect inhabitants against attack. It’s a place where people can feel secure, surrounded by high, sturdy walls. It’s a place to rest and be restored. It’s a place to plan the way forward.
It’s a place. Throughout the Bible, we’re told that God is the Stronghold for those who follow Jesus, that He’s our refuge in hard times and that in His presence our resources can be renewed.

Second, an awareness that soon, possibly very soon, Jesus is going to return. And finally, the question, in light of all of that, how should we as Christians live? We are going to dig into these things in our Fall study of 1 Thessalonians.
