About Our Pastor:
Pastor Paul grew up in a pastor’s home. In fact, his mother says all the horrible rumors about preacher’s kids probably started with him. He thinks he’s from Colorado, although his dad’s ministry gave him the opportunity to live in several states growing up.
His wife came all the way from New York State to Colorado to capture him (which wasn’t very hard for her) and drag him back east. Paul & Mary Lou had the opportunity to be a part of several ministries while back east, the longest in the state of Maryland pastoring a church for 21 years. Then God led them to “the good life” of Nebraska.
Paul and Mary Lou have four children and lots of grandchildren. Paul loves God, loves people and loves letting people know how much God loves them.
About True North:
Early in 2016, God put together several families through a shared experience and began to excite their hearts about the possibility of starting a ministry. One of the things we would be committed to is not making it difficult for folks that have no church background or who moved away from church (for any number of reasons) to connect to God. We decided to be a non-denominational church, because we don’t want to have any title or connection that might cause someone to feel unwelcome or not a part of our church family. Finally, we are committed to purposefully not be “churchy.”
Our message . . . is Jesus loves you and wants to be in relationship with you. As a church, we desire to point to Jesus as the answer to the void and lack of direction we often sense as we walk through this life. We believe that Jesus is “True North” and we want to point everyone to him as Lord.
Our heart . . . is to be a church that helps God followers to grow in their faith and God explorers feel like it’s a safe place to ask their questions, share their doubts and experience God’s love as they weigh over whether to become a Christ follower.
